CAD technician

Are you a CAD technician with a background in the Water Industry / Utilities / Civils & M&E?

Summary:

We are a long established family run Civil Engineering business based in Oxfordshire working on project mainly focussed the water industry.

We are recruiting for a technician to assist our Civil Engineering department in the production of GA’s and detailed construction drawings for in house design and build projects.

An understanding of water industry structures, processes, pumps, pressure piped systems and mechanical installations will be highly advantageous.

The successful applicant will have skills and experience in the production of 2d & 3d models in the Autodesk, Architecture, Engineering and Construction suite of applications. (Civil 3d Plant 3d, Revit etc)

You will be working within an experienced team that can support you to deliver projects in our sector. It is not necessary to have experience in all aspects of civils as training and support will be provided.

The role will be based from our offices in Weston on the Green, Oxfordshire and will suit a CAD tech with civils or utilities experience looking to work within a small team of dedicated professionals in the water industry.


Duties:

Collaborate with Civils management team & clients to understand project requirements

Produce detailed 2d and 3d models of proposed works

Create 2D Drawings for approval

Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications & client’s asset standards

Assist in the development of drawings to reach client approvals.

Utilize Revit / Plant 3d for visualisation of proposed works

Produce and distribute as built drawings and records

Maintain an organized library of drawings and design files


Qualifications:

Experience within Water industry is highly advantageous

Competence in CAD software (Autodesk AEC collection)

Knowledge of hydraulic / civils design methodologuies

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

Flexible working patterns welcomed (Part & full time considered)
