Your new company is based in Lurgan, but is part of a larger group with over 20 manufacturing sites across the globe. Having been to the site for a visit, I can confirm this is a great place to work with a very friendly and welcoming team and nice new modern offices, where you could be based
Your new role
As Quality Controller you will be reporting to the General Manager and responsible for controlling all site QC activities including laboratory services. You will check compliance to Integrated Management System standards, facilitate customer audits and DAERA audits and liaise with the customer service, quality and regulatory team in Europe. You will provide technical support to management and also the raw material procurement team and ensure all finished goods conform to specification.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should have a relevant third level qualification with knowledge of Microsoft computer software and LIMS. You should have experience of delivering compliance to standardised systems, such as ISO9001; GMP; HACCP. It is important that you have knowledge of current relevant EEC and national legislation with a general knowledge of science – biology; microbiology; chemistry. You should also have the skill and ability to operate routine laboratory equipment. You should have good communication skills and be able to work in a team as well as individually.
