As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete scope of contract control systems for industrial machinery, including:

  • Full-scale PLC programming
  • HMI design
  • SCADA feedback
  • Automation control
  • Customer/supplier liaison
  • Testing
  • Commissioning support
  • Aftermarket modifications
  • Product development

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain PLC control systems for industrial machinery
  • Work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that the company's commitments are met
  • Attend and participate in operational/engineering review meetings
  • Work with internal teams to efficiently execute all scheduled contract deliverables
  • Provide site commissioning assistance as required
  • Complete pre-delivery inspections and prepare and generate relevant engineering report documentation

Requirements:

  • Experience with PLC design and programming, HMI design, SCADA feedback, and automation control
  • Experience with Siemens/AB systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical control systems and root cause problem solving techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and proactive approach to working
  • Customer-focused, professional attitude

Qualifications:

  • Trained/qualified electrical engineer with HNC/Degree level qualification
  • Experience with Siemens/AB systems
  • Background in root cause problem solving techniques for electrical control systems
