Role Overview:

As a Product Manager within our European Sales Engineering organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the companies machine tool products. Reporting to the European Group Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving product development, market research, and supporting sales and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Define the product vision and strategy, including features, specifications, pricing, and target market positioning.
  • Market and Competitor Research: Conduct comprehensive research by engaging with domestic and international customers to assess product performance and identify market requirements and competitor strategies.
  • Customer Representation: Advocate for the customer throughout the product development process, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
  • Positioning and Messaging: Develop core positioning and messaging for the product, and collaborate with marketing to create product collateral and execute launch activities.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring timely updates and enhancements.
  • Sales Support: Develop and deliver sales training materials and competitor argumentation to support product launches, training events, and trade shows.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Become the recognised expert within the organisation on the product, market trends, relevant technology, and competitive landscape.
  • Price Management: Develop pricing lists and option package bundles for globally produced products throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Self-motivated and organised with the ability to deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey product vision and strategy.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC machine technology.
  • Commercial awareness of sales and marketing dynamics within the industry.
  • Ability to build authentic and trustworthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
