Location: North Yorkshire

Working pattern: Hybrid – Remote with some site/office visits

Our client are a global engineering and manufacturing leader. Their people are dedicated to solving customers’ challenges and are all specialists in their field. From research and development through to lifetime support, they truly believe in keeping the customer at the heart of everything they do.

To achieve their long-term strategic goals, our client are looking to add an experienced Supportability (ILS) Engineer to their growing team. This is an opportunity to join an organisation that takes an active role in your personal development, wanting you to be the best you can be.

This role is currently confidential, but we will be able to disclose more information about the client if you are suitable for the role.

What you’ll need:

  • degree or equivalent
  • years of experience in a similar role
  • verbal and written communication skills
  • of defence standards supportability and related specifications
  • hold, or be able to obtain, Security Clearance
  • of engineering drawings
  • of the use of ILS Tools to influence the design

It would also be advantageous to have:

  • of engineering systems and maintenance
  • system implementation and maintenance
  • of completing configuration audits

What you’ll be doing:

  • the Project team (project managers, project engineers and lead engineers) to utilise ILS tools to influence the design of the end product.
  • and developing bespoke ILS Plans in line with the customers' individual contracted service deliverables.
  • ILS Plan updates in line with contract amendments.
  • with the definition and development of product support engineering capability, as required by performance-based logistic support contracts.
  • compliance with defined ILS procedures.
  • the company's configuration management system to ensure continuity throughout the ILS process.
