Battery Build Technician

We are currently looking for a Battery Build Technician for our client, a developer of bespoke electric vehicle drivetrain systems, leveraging cutting-edge, proprietary technology to deliver world-class solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, build, arming and safety testing of battery packs of up to 500V DC to be used in EV powertrain “kits” and bespoke builds.

The Battery Build Technician will:
- Assemble complete battery packs including installing all wiring harnesses, mechanical enclosures and fixings.
- Liaise with the production manager to deliver products to the agreed schedule
- Maintain accurate build records.
- Conduct safety checks and testing of battery packs.
- Assemble subcomponents and sub-assemblies.
The Battery Build Technician will have:
- Electrical & mechanical technical knowledge & ability.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and electrical drawings.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Organisation skills, precision and have a pragmatic approach to working.
- Have previously been certified to HV SAP / AP level or IMI EV level 3
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
