Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting an Ofsted rated "Good" Primary School in Runcorn as they require a Year 3 Teacher for an ongoing temporary contract. The role is initially for two full-terms but may be extended for the full academic year.
This school is welcoming applications from experienced teachers, ECT's and NQT's that have previous KS2 experience.

Your new company
In your new role you will be joining an Ofsted rated "Good" Primary School located in the Runcorn area where you will join an extremely welcoming and supportive team of teaching and support staff that pride themselves on offering an inclusive and encouraging environment by taking a person-centred approach to education.

Your new role
In your new role as a Year 3 class teacher, you will be required to plan, prepare and deliver all aspects of learning materials, and cover the KS2 curriculum. You will deliver to a medium-sized class of mixed ability Year 3 pupils and follow the values and standards of the school. You will engage and monitor behaviour management by utilising behaviour for learning methods. You will ensure pupil engagement by differentiating materials to suit pupils preferred learning method and delivering lessons in a stimulating and accessible manner. You will collaborate with other staff members to boost student engagement.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must hold QTS, have full "Right to Work" in the UK and referenceable experience working within a school as a Teacher, as well as:

  • Be able to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • The ability to assess students progress and provide feedback in a constructive manner
  • Create a positive, accessible and stimulating learning environment
  • The ability to support pupils with their social and emotional development
  • Previous experience teaching Year 3
