The Role:
As an assistant production manager, you will be responsible for assisting in overseeing the production process and coordinate all activities to ensure enough resources are on hand and the product is produced safely, cost-effectively and on time to meet the quality standards and demands.
Responsibilities:
* Assists in planning production schedules
* Oversee the production process
* Ensure enough materials and resources are on hand for production
* Assisting in streamlining the production process
* Prepare reports on performance and progress and present them to senior management
* Oversee safe use of equipment
* Organising repair of any damaged equipment
* Liaise with internal departments
* Manage a team of 8 staff on a day to day basis
Skills/Experience:
* Experience in a similar production role within a manufacturing/engineering organisation
* Previous experience within a battery manufacturer is beneficial
* Ability to ‘muck in’ work under pressure to time constraints
* Good communication skills
* A results-driven approach
* Strong IT skills
Working Hours:
* Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
* 3 breaks totalling 1 hours. Morning 15 minutes, Lunch 30 minutes and afternoon 15 minutes
* Holiday is 28 days including bank holidays. 3 days need to be reserved for between Christmas and New Year
Salary:
* Up to £32,000
* Monhtly Bonus - Paid in arrears
