Our client is a FTSE 250 international group with operations in 12 countries. It is now looking to recruit a Company Secretarial Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, PLC Secretariat and gain exposure to a broad remit of listed company secretarial work. There are three members of the team (including this role) and being a small, close knit department they aim to share the workload around so would look to provide the successful candidate with wide ranging secretarial experience. Previous experience of working in a listed-company environment would be advantageous, but it is not essential. Experience of using Microsoft Office packages. Working knowledge of Diligent Boards and Diligent Entities (formerly Blueprint OneWorld) would be useful, but full training will be provided.

The role would suit a candidate with the following skills and qualities;

  • Reliable, conscientious and the ability to observe strict confidentiality.
  • The personality and flexibility to operate successfully in a small office environment, and to work with employees throughout the organisation including the Chairman and Group Chief Executive.
  • Willingness to learn and to take on new responsibilities and tasks.
  • Computer literate. Accuracy and numeracy are essential; the individual must be comfortable working with numbers.
  • Good grammatical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • A ‘hands-on, get the job done’ approach to work.
