About EcoPragma Capital:

• EcoPragma Capital works with climate tech startups at their inflection point of growth we call the ‘sneeze’ point. The firm currently focuses on capital formation for climate tech companies raising £10-70 million both raising funding from third parties as well as direct investments. In 2023, EcoPragma helped raise over £120m for its clients.

• The company was founded in 2020 by Michael Liebreich and Henry Lawson. Michael is a serial entrepreneur, energy systems expert, and founder of New Energy Finance, which he sold to Bloomberg in 2009. Henry Lawson is an entrepreneur and investor who has generated over $1bn of value growth for investors in companies from media systems through to advanced fuels.

• The team currently consists of about 6 people and is looking to hire an associate to build compelling data backed stories for clients and manage transaction processes.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day responsibilities include: Managing clients and coordinating with potential investors, creating company presentations, developing financial models, creating internal and external IP, etc.

• The role will be highly self-directed and the candidate will be expected to take the initiative and contribute from day one.

• The successful candidate will enjoy complete involvement in the day-to-day operation of EcoPragma Capital and open opportunities for rapid career progression as the firm’s advisory and investing activities grow.

 

Location and travel:

• The role will be based in the London office, near Victoria Station. It may involve some travel for client work. A certain amount of remote working may be acceptable.

Salary:

• The role carries a competitive salary – comparable to an associate role at a reputable investment bank – plus holiday entitlement, a discretionary bonus, and statutory contributions to a pension scheme. 

 

Who we are looking for: (please ONLY apply if you can answer 'YES' to the following statements)

• You have completed a Bachelors Degree preferably in engineering, science and/or finance/economics with a minimum grade of 2:1

• You have a minimum of 2-5 years experience working with & have strong skills in Microsoft Office

• You have excellent technical, presentation, and communication skills

• You have a minimum of 2-5 years experience within a top investment bank, corporate finance firm or private equity fund

• You have the right/are legally authorised to work in the UK without sponsorship

• You have experience or an interest related to climate and technology sectors
