Rocket Sports is a sports consulting business that helps brands, athletes and rights holders navigate the commercial side of sport. Co-founded by Sir Elton John in 2012, today we work with some of the world’s best-known athletes, rights holders, and media networks. 

We’re a small but mighty team, growing at a rapid pace and we’re looking for a Marketing Manager to champion our brand, our communications and help build a fantastic reputation, that effectively celebrates our USP and clearly communicates what we do to a mix of B2B audiences. 

Located in London, we're a dedicated team passionate about revolutionising the sports industry. 

Position: Marketing Manager

Location: Hammersmith, London

Job Type: Full Time (but open to part-time candidates)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership the brand position and tone of voice of our company, ensuring we effectively articulate our proposition to our B2B audiences.
  • Effectively manage all outward communications of the company, including writing and distributing press releases, announcements, social media 
  • Become the guardian of our website, ensuring that it effectively serves the purpose of clearly communicating our services, our capabilities and what makes us different from our competitors and peers. 
  • Work across the team to make sure we celebrate our successes through our communication channels, in doing so, taking ownership of all our social media channels with consistent brand messaging and a regular stream of engaging content (working with our team and designer).
  • Organise, promote, and oversee industry-targeted events to promote Rocket Sports and its range of services.
  • Work with our designer to make sure our visual identity is consistent, fresh and deployed across our business, including refreshing our credentials on a regular basis. 
  • Occasionally support the communications, invitations and management of the hosting programmes for new business at a range of sports and entertainment events. 
  • Support our athlete team on areas of improvement for our clients across their own digital channels, occasionally producing campaign plans and social media strategies.
  • Establish a strategy for engaging with our extensive database in a way that adds value and fosters strong relationships.
  • Work closely with the Rocket Sports team, contributing actively to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategic discussions.
  • Utilise subscriptions to industry platforms and award submissions in support of our goals of boosting visibility and reputation.  

Key Qualities We're Looking For:

  • Creative Flair: Ability to come up with fresh ideas for campaigns and strategies.
  • Team Player: Enthusiasm to be an integral part of our dynamic team.
  • Proactive Attitude: A 'roll up the sleeves' mindset, ready to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Innovative Thinking: Ability to identify market trends and opportunities for business expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, with a preference for those with a background in sports marketing or agency side.
