Life at Next Distribution

Next is one of the UK’s best known retailers on the high-street and most established online. Behind the scenes we are at the cutting edge of Warehousing and Logistics, employing more than 7000 people across our distribution network.

Life as a Performance and Absence Analyst

at Next is full of variety and challenges, it’s fast paced and just like fashion trends is constantly evolving. We look after over 2 million customers, and it takes a large, talented and efficient distribution operation to make that happen. Our largest distribution centre processes around 600,000 units per day to our retail stores and to our customer’s doors which is by no means straightforward.

Online retail has never been more important than it is now, our continued success is dependent on the expertise, passion and adaptability of the teams across our distribution network.

About the role

We are looking for a Performance & Absence Analyst to collate and report on data across all departments in Next Distribution.

Reporting to the Performance & Absence Compliance Manager, you will design and implement solutions to monitor, track and report on key performance and absence measures. By using this data you will regularly monitor actual performance against standards and take appropriate action to maintain or improve where required. Acting as the key contact for any performance and absence statistical reporting queries, you will work with Operational Managers to support cost/ waste saving initiatives and ensure compliance with management policies against KPIs.

As a Performance & Absence Analyst, you will proactively look for opportunities to improve ways of working by contributing to the future business improvement plan, communicate in team meetings and share achievements. By offering support and training to employees at all levels on in house systems to accomplish data compliance.

Let’s take it on

The ideal candidate will have experience in a planning or analytical role and be comfortable working to tight deadlines when under pressure. The ability to work with detailed analytics and excellent PC skills are essential; notably formulas, functions and pivot tables within Excel/ Google sheets.
