Asset Manager. London, c Newly Qualfied to 1 year pqe


We are recruiting for an Investor and Asset Manager of retail led property across the UK. Based in the West End, they employ 40 people across Development, Asset Management, Finance and Investment.


They are seeking an additional Asset Manager to play a key role in the enhancement of assets across our portfolio. This position offers the unique opportunity to engage directly with a diverse array of partners, investors, and occupiers. Your primary responsibility will be to formulate and execute plans at optimising net income and asset value. In addition to asset management, you'll have the chance to contribute to investment due diligence processes, further enriching your experience in the field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with a lead Director on asset management initiatives throughout the portfolio.
  • Develop and execute value-enhancing strategies for individual assets under your purview.
  • Contribute to the development of annual business plans for each asset.
  • Implement agreed-upon asset business plans to achieve net income targets.
  • Oversee leasing activities and major lease events in alignment with asset strategy.
  • Identify and manage capital expenditure projects according to business plan objectives.
  • Direct refurbishment programs and asset repositioning efforts.
  • Supervise third-party service providers, including letting agents, solicitors, and property managers.
  • Support property management activities, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.


Candidate Requirements:

  • MRICS accreditation preferred but not essential.
  • 1-2 years’ prior experience in asset management is required.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a penchant for continuous improvement.
  • Sound commercial acumen and the ability to think flexibly.
  • Thorough understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
