As a Senior Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial claims, ensuring efficient and effective resolution from start to finish. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and maintaining the highest standards of service.


What youll be doing:

  • Handle a diverse range of commercial claims.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, and other parties to facilitate timely and fair claim settlements.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and assessments to determine liability and coverage.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior claims handlers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims handling.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient claims management processes.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Claims Handler, particularly with commercial claims.
  • Deep understanding of insurance policies, coverage issues, and claims procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple claims concurrently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with claims management software and related tools.
  • Professional qualifications such as CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) are highly desirable.
