We are looking for an achievement-driven telesales pro, who can take a solid brief / great sales story and run with it


About you:


  • You’ve worked as a professional appointment setter/prospector with great results
  • You love selling and convincing people
  • You value new relationships and aren’t afraid to explore where they can take you
  • You can collaborate with senior sales people, attend team pipeline meetings and fill their diaries
  • You’re personally motivated by success, compete with yourself and others
  • You see compelling communication as an art form, and have a deep desire to perfect it
  • You know how to follow up effectively to prospects
  • You are numbers driven, and happy to put in the necessary amount of cold calls
  • You've worked independently before, and thrive with autonomy
  • You realise it takes a large number of 'no's' to get to the yes
  • You can deliver a simple benefit message to a busy target audience.


Bonus points:


  • You have a passion for food, and get excited about the idea of speaking to top chefs and restaurants
  • You get a kick out of researching sales prospects and can make educated assumptions on what prospects might value
  • Email and linkedin, social media prospecting skills
  • You're already thinking about the best ways (how, when, who) to get appointments with top restaurants and other prospects
  • You’ve used CRM systems to track your sales performance
  • You’ve worked as a chef, or in restaurants, in your career history and understand the pain points of the industry first hand
  • You have an interest in horticulture, plants and growing
  • Youve successfully sold around hospitality or food in a B2B or in a direct to consumer setting


About the company


Evogro makes Plant Growing Systems for Chefs. We make it easy for people to grow their own perfect microgreens, salad leaves and herbs. Our system combines internet-connected growing cabinets with intelligent software services so our customers can get great, consistent results with a minimum of time and effort. By growing plants right in the kitchen, they can be snipped just when needed so they are absolutely fresh and full of flavour.


Evogro customers include Michelin-starred restaurants, five star hotels, bars, private clubs, cruise ships, major catering companies and affluent households. Although mainly in the UK we also have customers in mainland Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and Australasia.


We’ve just completed a significant funding round and are now entering a phase of rapid national and international expansion.


Our fast growing foodtech business is looking for someone who can sell a premium product that wins on taste, whilst also getting their heads around how our AI enabled cabinets deliver eco benefits to forward thinking customers.

The role


This is a chance to join a disruptive startup in the luxury hospitality space and will suit someone with a real passion for sales. You’ll be selling on themes such as taste and sustainability. You'll join two other sales people already having considerable success on the phones with our target audience.


The role will focus on supporting direct sales, selling a genuinely best-in-class product that’s seen as a real revolution by its users: high-end, elite and luxury chefs working in some of the most renowned hospitality venues and restaurants in the UK.


You’ll be able to meet chefs eye to eye on a real point of passion: getting them excited about how the herbs they can grow will outstrip the status quo to on taste. You’ll be able to carry the brand with credibility and charisma in environments proud of their reputations.


We are looking for a self-starter that has some experience in a competitive sales environment, with a record of hitting sales
