Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day rate is available for suitable candidates
Role Requirements:
- POC Development & Prototyping: Construct robust, scalable prototypes and POCs that effectively demonstrate the value and functionality of new ideas, ensuring they are in line with our strategic direction towards sustainable energy solutions.
- Technical Innovation: Leverage cutting-edge technologies, such as AI, drones, and robotics, to solve complex problems and contribute to the company’s position at the forefront of the energy industry.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Innovation Designers and other team members to align technical development with design concepts and business objectives.
- Agile Methodology: Employ agile development practices to rapidly produce high-quality code and facilitate iterative feedback, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability.
- Cloud and DevOps Basics: Utilise an understanding of cloud platforms and DevOps practices to enhance collaboration, streamline development, and ensure efficient deployment of innovations.
- Design Skills Application: Apply basic design skills to contribute to user interface and experience aspects of the prototype, aiding in the creation of intuitive and user-centric products.
- Knowledge Sharing: Act as a technical mentor within the Innovation Team, sharing expertise and fostering a learning environment that encourages curiosity and professional growth.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine requirements, gather feedback, and validate the technical aspects of new innovations
Skills & Experience:
- Innovation Background: Experience in an innovation or product team, ideally with exposure to both large organisations and startup environments.
- POC Development: Proven track record of developing prototypes and POCs that translate complex ideas into workable solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills and experience with a variety of languages and frameworks relevant to the project needs.
- Emerging Technology Experience: Hands-on experience with advanced technologies such as AI, drones, or robotics.
- Cloud and DevOps Understanding: Basic knowledge of cloud services and DevOps principles to support efficient development and deployment processes.
- Design Capability: Design skills that contribute to the development of user-friendly interfaces and enhance the user experience of prototypes.
- Agile Expertise: Proficiency with agile development methodologies and a track record of working in fast-paced, iterative environments.
