MacGregor Black is delighted to partner with an FMCG business in their search for a Commercial Finance Analyst / Finance Business Partner. This is a permanent position based in Manchester with remote/hybrid working available.

As a Commercial Finance Business Analyst, you'll be the strategic backbone of the finance team, providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to drive business growth.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Analysis: Dive deep into the financial data to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and assess risks. From sales forecasts to profit margins, you'll crunch the numbers to fuel informed decision-making.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Sales, to understand their needs and provide financial insights that support their goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping strategic initiatives and optimising performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Play a pivotal role in the budgeting and forecasting process, working alongside senior management to develop accurate projections and monitor performance against targets. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure financial stability and agility in a dynamic industry.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Tackle ad hoc projects and analyses as needed, ranging from pricing strategies to market research. Your versatility and analytical prowess will be essential in navigating the ever-evolving landscape of fashion and retail.

What are we looking for?

  • Ideally you will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Experienced with a comparable role.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Demonstrate excellence in analytical capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
