The specialist in Learning design, partnering with SME’s to design engaging blended learning tools that inspire learning and drive performance, whilst maintaining and ensuring L&D design standards.

The Learning Designer will be responsible for the research and design of highly effective learning interventions across a blend of methods e.g. Learning Management System, infographics, videos, eLearning modules, virtual classrooms, and workshops.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop all learning design in line with brand standards & guidelines . Build & implement learning design standards, guidelines & processes, including ways of working
  • Create blended learning content including classroom, digital, micro-learning, on the job etc. to support retention, performance & development and knowledge transfer
  • Build high-quality end-to-end learning solutions that enable new and existing teams to develop professional & behavioural skills
  • Consult & influence learning experiences on projects focused on driving behaviour change & elevating employee experience
  • Ensure most relevant, effective, and engaging learning methods are incorporated into all materials whilst considering the various learning styles of our teams and utilising the right technology
  • Keep up to date with business priorities and operational areas of focus and developments in training and frequently network to enhance your thinking
  • Own the learning design process & sign off of learning
  • Lead and manage projects to ensure consistent & effective learning tools are created
  • Provide support in the piloting & implementation of new learning programs
  • Craft communication plans and assets to support the delivery & embedding of learning
  • Engage with learners & key stakeholders to build engaging learning, embed understanding, facilitate discussions to achieve success and gather feedback
  • Partner with key stakeholders on capability needs and learning gaps through analysis and consultation that enables the best design of learning solutions in line with budget
  • Complete evaluation & analysis of learning tools & programs, tracking key KPI performance metrics to evolve the future content offering
  • Provide KPI’s for monthly board reports
  • Foster a learning culture through driving and maintaining a continuous learning approach, reviewing impact and value of all solutions, using insight to improve learning for the future

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Owner of RISE, digital learning platform – learning resources are consistently up to date, refreshed and relevant
  • Consistency of brand guidelines across all learning resources
  • Design of blended learning materials that enable learning to embed and make positive impact
  • Accurate reporting
  • Projects delivered – quality, time and cost

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Excellent IT skills, specifically in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Helpful to have Canva and In-design skills
  • Working knowledge of articulate and RISE 360 eLearning design tools
  • Strong project management skills to create timelines and workflows
  • Have the ability to use your own initiative, be proactive and work to tight deadlines
  • Exceptional eye for detail and accuracy with a double check mentality, excellent organisation skills
  • Have excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Be friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated, with a collaboration, partnering and team mindset
  • A passion for learning and proactive about keeping yourself up to date with the latest trends in learning design
  • Be willing to adapt and take on new challenges and be driven to continually learn and improve
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business
  • eLearning design/digital learning design skills and knowledge with motivation, drive and a learning mindset
  • Attention to detail with written content including copy and proofing
