This position is with a global medical technology company that has developed a life-changing product. Based in Warwickshire, the company is focused on creating a device with a compact design, intuitive GUI, and proven performance that delivers powerful clinical outcomes.


In this role, you'll be integral to developing innovative software for cutting-edge medical devices, ensuring fully tested, reliable systems throughout the development cycle, with a focus on real-time programming and embedded systems.


The company provides a supportive team environment dedicated to helping you enhance your skills and advance your career, offering flexible hybrid working options (3-4 days from home) or fully remote with the requirement of monthly site visits.


Key Requirements:


  • Around 2+ years of experience in safety-critical, real-time software for electronic/mechanical systems.
  • Strong experience in Real-Time programming, multitasking, profiling, and operating systems (e.g., VxWorks, RTOS).
  • Embedded C is essential, C# .net is preferred, and C++ is beneficial.
  • Skilled in scripting (PERL, Python) and microcontroller/microprocessor tools (e.g., IAR Systems, Visual Studio).
  • Experience with continuous integration and software testing.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62304 standards.
  • Familiarity with version control (JIRA, SVN), Object-Oriented programming (UML), software quality tools (PClint, Vectorcast), and build systems (Jenkins).


Salary: Up to £45,000 + benefits, depending on experience.
