As the Associate Director, Facilities & Engineering, you will spearhead the Engineering & Maintenance Team, orchestrating the development and upkeep of facilities, machinery, and utilities to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory adherence, thus propelling the business forward.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Associate Director, Facilities & Engineering will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead the Engineering & Maintenance Team to enhance processes and safety measures.
- Oversee maintenance strategies, including the integration of maintenance management systems, aligning with regulatory standards.
- Administer engineering and maintenance budgets, alongside managing the site's capital budget and significant capital project delivery.
- Innovate to boost efficiency and minimize downtime, while fostering relationships with suppliers and service providers for cutting-edge technologies and services.
- Ensure engineering and maintenance activities comply with HS&E and quality systems, and support EMS activities in accordance with ISO14001.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this pivotal role as the Associate Director, Facilities & Engineering, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- An Engineering Degree in a electrical, instrument, mechanical discipline or similar. Chartered Engineer status would be preferred, but is not essential.
- Proven experience in leading Facility, Engineering, and/or Maintenance within a biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with engineering change control and cGMP principles
- Demonstrated ability in managing budgets and supervisory experience, including contractor management.
