Purpose of the Role:

  • Estimating and Sales Expertise: The primary purpose of this role is to leverage industry experience to provide accurate and detailed estimates for client projects, including costs, work time, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Client Relationship Management: The role also focuses on maintaining existing client contracts and actively seeking new sales opportunities. Developing customer relationships and creating effective sales strategies are essential to drive growth.


General Duties/Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Development: Build and nurture foundational relationships with both internal teams and external clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Quotation Support: Assist customers with obtaining quotations for significant work activities, ensuring these are delivered promptly.
  • Tender and Quotation Management: Timely and accurate delivery of tender returns and quotations for client opportunities, including detailed recommendations and contract upgrades.
  • Technical Support: Provide solutions for complex equipment issues, ensuring technical challenges are addressed effectively.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a clear and accurate sales pipeline, including regular reviews with your manager on quotations, sales volumes, margins, and performance analysis.
  • Quotation Register Maintenance: Keep an up-to-date record of all quotations, including status, validity periods, and reasons for wins or losses to inform future strategies.
  • Site Surveys and Reports: Conduct site surveys for complex sales opportunities, and prepare comprehensive technical reports to support sales arguments.
  • Pricing and Discount Strategy: Develop and maintain a pricing matrix with defined discount levels, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
  • Customer Journey Management: Oversee the sales process from initial contact through to operations handover, ensuring clear communication and profitable delivery.
  • Professional Quotation Package Development: Create comprehensive sales quotation packages that highlight potential cross-selling opportunities.
  • Operational Handover Protocol: Establish a clear handover process from sales to operations to ensure projects are delivered profitably and according to plan.
  • Brand Promotion and Cross-Selling: Promote the company’s brand and services, identifying and leveraging cross-selling opportunities to maximize profitability.


This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and strong project management skills to ensure that all client engagements are profitable, well-managed, and lead to long-term relationships. The individual in this role would need to be detail-oriented, proactive in sales efforts, and capable of handling complex technical issues. This role requires you to have a UK Driving Licence.
