- Own and Deliver to be successful.We encourage you to explore our Babcock Canada website to learn more about us at .In this role, you will: Be a leader within the Waterfront PMOFocus on ensuring that the business has the right tools, processes and measures for consistent and controlled messaging, reporting, performance analysis, executive governance, and integrated project controlsManage a team of approximately 10 to 15 individuals responsible for Cost Control, Scope Control, Change Control, Risk Management, Earned Value, Project Communications and Project Controls Reporting functionsProvide leadership for internal project controls and processes to ensure project and program delivery Lead a Project Control support team in the delivery of quality, transparent and timely outputsEnsure integrated business planning activities are developed and implemented to improve understanding of future business activity, influence decision making and future resource and capacity planningProvide governance over clear and concise project, program and business performance measuresLead business improvements in performance analysis and project control toolsSupport Project Delivery Teams in identifying and mitigating risks and issues with the use of project performance measuresDevelop reporting dashboards and monitor project and project performance against agreed performance measuresSupport review of proposals and RFPs (request for proposals) against operational and project requirements, controls and alignmentSupport Project Delivery Teams with identification and management of performance measures, performance trend analysis, interpretations and communication of performance.Work closely with the Financial Controls Team to enable accurate project forecastingSupport project close out activities and reportingIdentify and implement process and performance improvementsLiaise directly with Business Improvement and Quality Management teams to ensure alignment of performance measures across the organizationSupport Project and Program Managers in execution of Project Control, reporting, communications as requiredThe ideal candidate brings: Has excellent written and oral communication skillsHas the ability to provide clear and disseminated guidance on complex issuesHas the aptitude to challenge current ways of working, and hold to account both internal and external stakeholdersHas excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels and skills in the organization, including president, directors, customer, and subcontractorsHolds a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, or related fieldHas 8 or more years relevant work experienceHas 2 or more years’ experience in a leadership roleIs a self-starter, flexible, and able to work under pressureIs eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR ClearanceBabcock Canada supports the safety and wellbeing of our employees through the following programs:Contributions towards an employee’s physical and mental health Wellness days Supportive work life balance: flexible work schedule and competitive annual vacation time offComprehensive health and dental benefitsPregnancy and Parental Leave top-up availableEmployer matching of employee retirement contributionEmployee recognition and bonus programsSupport of professional development and reimbursement of membership duesRelocation assistance for individuals and familiesBabcock is committed to promoting a workforce without boundaries.
