Alchemy have partnered with an Art Gallery based in London who are searching for a Gallery Assistant to join the team

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the gallery space
  • Assist with the gallery's digital marketing strategy, including website updates, newsletters, and social media engagement
  • Provide support for handling press and media inquiries
  • Assist the Gallery Manager in operational and art logistic related tasks
  • Help with proofreading various sales material/PR and exhibition catalogues
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D exhibition renderings
  • Develop client-specific mock-ups to display potential artwork placements in various settings
  • Deal with third-party liaison, invoicing and taking calls
  • Support management with events and exhibitions within the Gallery space, assisting with logistics, planning, installation, and handling of artwork
  • Help maintain the information on internal databases, including auction documents, artist biographies, locations and photographs of the artwork
  • Update the website CMS and create content for the website
  • Be front of house for the Gallery, greeting guests, keeping a professional appearance
  • Convey outstanding knowledge of the Gallery’s artists and events to visitors
  • All other ad hoc duties when needed


Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a gallery/similar industry is required
  • Background in graphic or interior design is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to increase clientele
  • Extensive knowledge of the Fine Art industry is required
  • Professional, motivated, and organised individual who can work in a fast-paced environment
