Pirbright - £41k Plus Bonus, Overtime and Mon – Fri day shifts.

Scope:

Permanent position to join a globally leading pharmaceutical company, providing corrective and preventative maintenance of all mechanical equipment on site, in line with UK and company regulations, biosecurity, and GMP standards to able the reliable and safe operation of the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective preventative maintenance of process, utility and facility equipment and systems that provide essential services for site production and building functions
  • Fault finding and problem solving on mechanical systems to minimise business impact
  • Identify and implement improvements in mechanical systems
  • Implement installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment
  • Ensure adherence with all site specifics, H&S, Biosafety and GMP procedures
  • Work as part of a team to maintain the site to a safe and reliable standard, sharing skill and expertise to ensure efficient and effective maintenance service
  • Maintain deep knowledge of all mechanical equipment on site
  • Awareness of the manufacturing and site processes and protocols and ability to make risk assessments

About You:

  • Recognised training to City & Guilds standard or NVQ Level 3 in engineering
  • Demonstratable experience in mechanical installation and fault finding
  • Adequate IT skills
  • Experience of working with steam plant and an understanding of pressure systems regulations
  • Ability to work without supervision but also as a member of the engineering team
  • Flexible and able to work on a 24/7 on call rota
  • Proactive in approach, take personal responsibility to resolve technical issues
  • (Desirable) Electrical safe isolation and basic fault finding
  • (Desirable) Mechanical engineer with a good knowledge chiller plant, centrifugal pumps and chilled water system
  • (Desirable) Ability to analyse P&ID’s, wiring diagrams and carry out fault finding diagnosis
