Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Gov Facility Services Ltd. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our facilities, ensuring the safety and security of our prisoners and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including heating and water supply systems.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering or plumbing role.
  • Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Certifications in plumbing and heating, such as C&G 6189 and C&G 5962.
