SiriusPoint, London writes three lines of business: Accident & Health, Casualty (Treaty and Insurance Binders) and Energy. We write through our platforms Sirius Syndicate 1945 at Lloyd’s and SiriusPoint International, UK Branch.

Join Our Team

You will be the Enterprise Architect. You will report to the Chief Enterprise Architect with dotted reporting lines to the CEO and Managing director of the London office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the Enterprise Architect for the London and a conduit to the various Group IT functions to coordinate prioritization and delivery.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify business problems, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Oversee the evaluation and selection of new products, as well as the design of standard configurations and the evaluation and testing of specific solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and vendors.
  • Build and drive the strategic roadmap for the London office based on business direction. Ensuring that the broader IT needs and priorities of the London office are met. 
  • Lead delivery and adoption of new systems for the London office, and act as a change champion.
  • Partner with business partners in the London office and Chief Data Officer to drive Group MI and data initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor Lloyd’s and London Market, industry trends to identify new opportunities and areas for innovation. Stay current with Lloyd’s BluePrint 2 initiatives and timeline.
  • Manage a portfolio backlog, ensuring that the right initiatives are prioritized based on business value, ROI and strategic importance.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise architecture (EA) strategy based on a deep understanding of business strategy and plans.
  • Collaborate and partner with other functions within Group IT to drive strategic initiatives and effectively support our business partners in the London office.
  • Continuously analyze the IT environment to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.

Your skills and abilities should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in the insurance industry. Experience in Property & Casualty and Accident & Health insurance and Reinsurance is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of insurance operations, including policy administration, underwriting, claims handling, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.
  • Significant experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multi-tier environment. Insurance/Reinsurance knowledge is beneficial.
  • Familiar with Cloud-based technologies specifically AWS. Deep and up-to-date expertise in SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, DevOps and micro services. 
  • Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
  • Exposure and understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), presentation skills, soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
