Excellent opportunity to get involved with large transformation project**:

- Own the design and implementation of cohesive end-to-end global platforms and standardisation of business processes.
- Be tasked with establishing the right level of architectural governance; decision-making and support across the overall technology stack.
- A leading role within the Enterprise Architecture function to ensure all architectural decisions are in alignment with the strategic directions of the business.
- Work closely with the Business Architects, Solution Architects, Technical Solution Architect and Data Architects.
- This role will overarch all functional areas of the programme and the business and has a global remit across multiple territories.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ownership of the technology system architecture and functional design needed to support and meet company business goals
- Familiarity with software architecture (e.g. Zachman, TOGAF) and software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, DSDM, RUP, Waterfall)
- Will provide technical design and architecture independently for business solutions
- In depth understanding of infrastructure aspects of technical solutions like storage, platform, middleware and databases
- Document systems and processes using multiple architectural models - with first-hand experience in building and developing
- Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies and IT processes and suggesting improvements
- Extensive knowledge of all the components that are standard within an enterprise architecture framework
- In depth understanding of load balancing, disaster recovery aspects of solutions
- Experience of system software development, testing and maintenance using full stack (Java, Oracle/PLSQL)
- Experience with cloud architecture, design principles, micro-services
- Extensive understanding on continuous integration, build, release, code quality
- In depth knowledge on security aspects like authentication, authorization by using open standards like OAuth
- Works with Business Architecture, Business Analysts, Data Analysts, and Business SME's to determine the scope of various solutions
- Works across teams to identify existing data designs, patterns, tools, or techniques that may facilitate or expedite delivery.

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED**:

- Demonstrable understanding of the insurance (or reinsurance) industry
- Broad knowledge of the activities and processes involved in operating a global company
- Knowledge of relevant technology and software packages used within the insurance industry.

Technical Expertise
- SAP / ERP
- Strong technical background with a solid track record of delivering solutions and developing/forming an overarching architectural roadmap
- Several years' experience as an Enterprise Architect in a global organisation
- Analysis and design (modelling and graphical representations)
- TOGAF Certified

- Team/matrix leadership
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to facilitate difficult discussions and conflicting demands between various stakeholders

- Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and by collaborating with others
