A dynamic ERP Business Systems company with offices in the UK in Birmingham and Brighton and who specialise in Enterprise Scale ERP SaaS Software for customers across the globe are looking to hire a Software Tester to join their expanding Software Testing team. You will be joining a highly experienced team of Testers in an innovative and expanding global software business.

My client’s software products are used by over 10,0000 SME organisations internationally, across 50 different countries and with this growth, the product’s features are also expanding. Due to the continued growth of the client’s brand and their applications they are looking for a talented Manual Software Tester with a background of Software Testing.

You will use your technical expertise to verify results visually through the company’s system by interrogating the database and other outputs to challenging timescales. You must have excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills.

Main Tasks:

  • Writing and implementing test plans, ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently without compromising product quality.
  • Designing, developing, and executing automation and manual scripts where appropriate.
  • Reviewing software requirements and changes, creating test scenarios.
  • Identifying, recording, and tracking bugs.
  • Performing regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Managing personal timescales.
  • Committed to continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with development and support teams.

Qualifications, Experience, and Personal Attributes:

Qualifications:

  • Desirable: ISEB/ISTQB Foundation, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a computing-related field.

Experience:

  • Required:
  • High level of numeracy and literacy.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Working knowledge of T-SQL.
  • TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience writing tests in Playwright or similar web automation software testing frameworks.
  • HTML, CSS.
  • Manual/automated UI and unit testing experience in different environments.
  • Creating Functional Specifications.
  • Experience in an agile software development environment.
  • Knowledge of bug tracking systems such as JIRA, TFS.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to report issues and defects clearly and concisely.
  • Team player, able to collaborate with various teams.

  • Able to present complex and highly technical information clearly to colleagues at all levels.
