The role:

Reporting to the Technical Account Manager, the Assistant Technical Account Manager will provide technical support to the wider business and the businesses retail customers.

Key responsibilities;

  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with key customers and be the main point of contact for any technical queries or enquiries.
  • Work cross functionally with the following teams, quality, commercial, procurement, NPD and operations to ensure that the company's quality standards are upheld.
  • Be confident using QMS daily.
  • Creation of weekly KPI reports.
  • Specification, artwork and label approval.
  • Visit suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support and take part in technical projects.
  • Ensure customer portals and systems are up to date and maintained.

The candidate:

  • Hold a degree in Food Technology/ Science or recognised food safety qualifications.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment - Minimum of 2 years.
  • Good working knowledge of Food Safety Systems is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the UK food industry and legislation is essential.
  • Has HACCP knowledge and other appropriate professional qualifications.
  • Be able to multi-task and work well under pressure against tight deadlines.
  • Be analytical, interpersonal and the ability to be able to influence others at all levels effectively.
  • Numerate, literate with intermediate IT Skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
