- Shape the Future of Leadership: With two newly promoted Team Leaders under your wing, your role is to guide and nurture them, helping them to develop their leadership capabilities. Your influence will extend beyond the immediate team, as you'll be collaborating closely with senior leadership in the West Coast.
- Broaden Your Expertise: You'll manage a diverse team of 10-11 people, ranging from direct reports to team leads, across various contract teams. Your work will touch every element of the operations, from incoming goods to outgoing shipments. The role offers a unique blend of legal, contractual, and leadership responsibilities, ensuring that every day brings a new challenge.
- Grow in Government Contracting: If you have experience with U.S. government contracts, the MOD, or U.S. Primes like Boeing, Rolls-Royce, or Lockheed Martin, this role will leverage your expertise while providing the opportunity to become a subject matter expert (SME) in this critical area.
- Develop Resilience and Prioritisation Skills: This function is crucial to the company's success, and you'll need to manage multiple priorities with resilience and precision. This role will push you to grow, adapt, and excel, ensuring you're always on your toes and learning something new.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Development: Lead a high-potential team that needs your support and guidance. You'll be instrumental in their growth, helping them transition from strong individual contributors to effective leaders.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Make crucial legal, contractual, and leadership decisions. You'll be directly involved in the planning and strategy, with the ability to project yourself within the company’s senior leadership.
- Operational Excellence: Manage the daily operations with a focus on continuous improvement. Your role will involve managing priorities across your caseload, team, and site leadership, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with key stakeholders and present cases to leadership. Your ability to influence and assertively manage difficult situations will be needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven Leadership Experience: You have experience in senior or site leadership roles and are a strong, nurturing leader who commands respect and earns buy-in from day one.
- Government Contracting Expertise: Experience with U.S. government contracts, MOD, and U.S. Primes is essential. You’re ready to step into the role of an SME in this area.
- Technical Proficiency: You can present data clearly and make informed decisions based on it.
- Resilient & Organised: You're highly organised and can juggle multiple priorities with ease.
The Process:
- Interview Stages: The process includes an initial Teams interview followed by an onsite interview with the site GM in Wolverhampton.
- Flexible Working: This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be onsite 3 days a week. Start your day early (between 7:30-8:30 AM) and enjoy the flexibility of rotating Fridays with your team.
- Early finish Fridays between 11.30AM - 12.30PM depending on the time you start your day.
This role offers the perfect blend of leadership, strategy, and hands-on management. If you're looking to make a real impact and advance your career, we want to hear from you.
