Due to continued growth and success, they seek a highly experienced and motivated Partner to join their dynamic team.


The Role:

As a Partner, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex Court of Protection cases, driving the strategic direction of the practice, and mentoring junior team members. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and growing our reputation as a leader in this specialist area of law.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of Court of Protection cases, including property and financial affairs, welfare, and contested applications.
  • Advise clients on all Court of Protection law aspects, including deputyships, LPAs, statutory wills, and related mental capacity issues.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of solicitors and paralegals, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality client service.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear, empathetic, and strategic advice.
  • Play a key role in business development initiatives, expanding the firm's client base, and enhancing their market presence.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide holistic legal services to clients.


  • Key Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in Court of Protection work, with a strong track record of handling complex and sensitive matters.
  • A proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, court personnel, and other professionals.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice.
  • A deep commitment to the rights and needs of vulnerable individuals.


  • Qualifications:
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 7-10 years of PQE in Court of Protection matters.
  • Proven track record in managing and developing a successful practice.
  • Experience at a senior level, with a focus on Court of Protection law.
