With Workday as our powerful engine, the HRSS team will handle a wide range of HR functions, including:

  • Recruitment: Managing volume hiring to ensure we bring in the best talent swiftly and effectively.
  • On-boarding: Creating smooth and welcoming experiences for our new colleagues.
  • Vetting: Ensuring thorough and compliant background checks.
  • Colleague Lifecycle: Supporting our team members throughout their entire journey with dnata Catering.
  • First Line Advice and Guidance: Providing prompt and accurate HR process advice to managers and colleagues.
  • Payroll and Pensions: Administering pay and retirement benefits with precision.
  • Reward and Recognition: Celebrating our colleagues' achievements and contributions.
  • Management Information: Delivering insightful data to drive informed decisions.
  • Exit Processes: Managing departures with professionalism and care.

By centralising these vital services, our HRSS team will enhance efficiency, give people opportunity to grow and develop within all areas of HR, and elevate the overall HR support experience. This transformation allows our HR professionals to focus more on strategic initiatives, ensuring that dnata Catering UK continues to thrive and our people are well-supported at every stage of their career.

We are seeking a HR Information Systems Assistant to join our team based at our Manchester unit. In this varied role you will provide a comprehensive administration and support service across a range of activities with exposure across the whole employee lifecycle from Recruitment and onboarding to every day HR queries and projects.

The key purpose of this role is to support the HRIS manager with the administration of our HR systems and applications. You will support with the smooth operation and integration of our People platform Workday and other in-house HR systems. You will also provide technical support and training to our HR staff and end-users on how to use our HR systems effectively.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Serve as the primary system administrator for our world-class system Workday and other HR applications.
  • Manage access requests
  • Maintain and update the HR systems according to the business needs and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any system issues or errors
  • Ensure data accuracy, security and compliance across all HR platform
  • Develop and document system processes, policies and procedures
  • Provide technical support and training to the HR staff and end-users on how to use the HR systems effectively
  • Evaluate and recommend new features, enhancements and upgrades to improve the HR systems functionality and performance

This list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary dependant on locality or role complexity and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager.

What you’ll have:

  • Proactive self-starter and able to work on own and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills -MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, Internet, Outlook
  • Working experience using Workday is desirable but not essential
  • Possesses high levels of resilience and able to work within a fast paced and exciting environment

The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for providing a quality service to both internal and external stakeholders. A key attribute of the successful candidate will be high levels of attention to detail, a customer centric approach and experience of working with sensitive and confidential data. To be a success in this role, you will have previous administration experience and proven experience of using a range of MS packages.
