Mendip, United Kingdom Vet-AI Full time
Job Description

Who we are:

We are Vet-AI, and we are delivering the pet care of the future. Our flagship app, Joii Pet Care was created to make pet care affordable and accessible for all pet owners. Through Joii, pet mums and dads can video call a vet 24/7, use an intelligent pet symptom checker (think NHS 111 but for pets), or seek preventative care through nurse clinics. All at the click of a button.

Our mission:

1) To make pet care affordable and accessible for everyone.

2) To improve the lives and well-being of everyone working within the veterinary industry.

Quite simply, we want vet care to be available to everyone, and to ensure the people who are delivering it with us are as happy as they can be. We’re called Joii, after all.

Our Core Values:

Brave;

  • We are not afraid to disrupt the status quo. Championing what’s right for pets and standing confidently behind our purpose. Even when it’s challenged.
  • We have the courage and confidence to tackle things that nobody has done before.
  • We may face hurdles, adversity, and the fear of failure but we have the conviction to keep going.

Boundless;

  • We do not constrain ourselves to the expectations of traditional pet care; we’re young, bright and full of fresh ideas.
  • We bring energy and pro-activity to everything we do. We’re problem solvers, with a ‘can do’ outlook.
  • Our boundless attitude brings the joy.

Togetherness;

  • We share an ‘in-it-together’ mindset. We’re one team; we don’t leave anyone to face problems alone when we can help.
  • We champion empathy and compassion; caring about what our customers and our colleagues are going through. Going above and beyond when they need us.
  • We strive for constant collaboration, no matter where we are in the world

About the role:

The Digital First Administrator will support our veterinary team to ensure practice operations run smoothly on a day-to-day basis. This role will focus on customer support, providing a high-level service to both our clients and our practice team. You will support the clinical operations function, with a focus on our London Colney practice. At times you may work on projects that span multiple clinical departments, including the telemedicine & clinical research functions.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to work, be confident in communicating clearly, have a professional, friendly and caring approach along with a positive "can do" attitude. They will be a highly organised team player who can multitask while working in a busy environment. Experience having worked in a veterinary environment would be an advantage but is not crucial. Strong IT Skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Duties may include but not be limited to:

  • Reception and front-of-house duties
  • Leading communication regarding site facility management & maintenance - utilities, landlord, maintenance of equipment & building
  • Administration of documentation and record keeping. Updating policy as required

  • Support with buildings and equipment maintenance, including PAT testing
  • IT Support - triage & support with IT problems and signposting resolutions
  • Practice plan administration & management
  • Arranging servicing for all equipment
  • Assist with Health and Safety

Who you are:

  • Experience in a veterinary setting is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Excellent communication skills including enthusiasm, an awareness of self, and being able to work well with others in the team
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask efficiently
  • Autonomy and the ability to organise own time effectively
  • Proficiency in IT platforms (e.g. Microsoft, Google Suite)
