Does additional store payroll drive incremental sales? What is Click & Collect worth to the business? How does our product mix impact store performance? How do we best protect merchandise in our stores? How can the business leverage big data? How does the European business best grow?
This Manager role offers a unique opportunity to be a truly commercial finance business partner. You will be responsible for delivering on exciting projects by providing insightful analysis—utilising multiple data sources and appraisal techniques—to effectively communicate the answers to key business questions facing TJX.
The Business Analysis team supports the whole organisation, partnering across Marketing, Operations, Property, Merchandising, Buying, Distribution, Ecommerce and more. This role therefore offers a great opportunity to gain exposure to the entire Senior Leadership Team and full P&L.
Key Responsibilities
Work with senior management to support the development of strategies for the growth of the TJX Europe business and assess their financial impactPartner with functions across the organisation, providing financial and analytical support towards their goals and prioritiesLead and develop a team of 2Deliver cohesive analytical support to help inform strategic business decisions through the Senior Finance AnalystsContinually challenge current thinking and make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk/cost to the businessWork with business partners to build financial business cases to support large scale investmentsSupport the business to conduct trials, consult non-finance professionals on Test and Learn best practice, analyse results using statistical software and present findings back to Senior LeadershipDevelop an understanding of the external macroeconomics, competitive market pressures and offer insight and TJXE business model compatible solutions
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Highly analytical with an ability to use business intelligence to generate impactful insightTeam player, experience of line management desirableStrong business modelling skillsCuriosity and understanding the off-price retail modelPossess initiative and a drive to problem solveForward thinking with a flexible attitudeAn excellent communicator to non-finance business partners; skilled in translating financial or complex analysis in a simple and effective mannerBe comfortable with complexity and ambiguityAbility to interrogate and utilise analytical tools such as Excel & TM1 (essential) and Power BI or similar (desirable)Accounting qualification, MBA, or similar business planning experience preferredExperience within a consumer facing business (Retail/FMCG)
