Role:
Position: Design Engineer
Location: Gainsborough,
Start Date: 1st October 2024
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of both existing and new machinery to support company growth.
- Overhaul and update the current Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical drawings to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with long-standing team members to drive innovation and improve machine functionality.
- Work on 2 new machine projects while enhancing the performance of existing machines.
- Interpret complex machinery designs, including both mechanical and software control systems.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D)
- Strong understanding of complex machinery and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to collaborate with teams to ensure designs meet both mechanical and software control specifications.
- Experience in the food, chemical, or liquid machinery industries is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in a rapidly growing or transforming business.
- A track record of success in modernising machinery and technical documentation.
