Our client is looking for a Reporting Engineer for a 6 month contract position, located in Aberdeen with occasional offshore trips.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a Reporting Engineer, you will be based in Aberdeen with occasional offshore requirements, youll be reporting to the MAI Reporting Supervisor Lead.
  • The Reporting Engineer will have responsibility for all vessel and platform deliverables. This includes overseeing the execution, ongoing progress and final reporting for MAI Client Deliverables department projects.
  • Youll be the one responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and profitable execution and delivery of ROV vessel-based pipeline and structural and platform-based surveys and inspections.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all assigned tasks are executed with the utmost quality and professionalism, adhering strictly to the company's Integrated Management System and project-specific guidelines.
  • Additionally, you will oversee the timely completion and issuance of final reports, ensuring that all data deliverables align with the contractual reporting schedule.
  • An integral part of this position involves identifying your own training needs and proactively communicating them to the department manager. You will be encouraged to take full advantage of the training opportunities provided, fostering continuous personal and professional development.
  • Furthermore, you will be expected to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals involved in the projects. This includes maintaining a vigilant stance on environmental protection and pollution prevention throughout all activities undertaken.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You should have formal qualifications to a minimum of HND level in Earth Science or Engineering and offshore experience working with ROVs as a Hydrographic Data Processor or Inspection Engineer.
  • MS Office experience, good IT skills, ability to understand technical engineering drawings, and excellent communication skills with a positive attitude are also essential.
  • While not mandatory, familiarity with software such as EIVA, Integrity Elements, COABIS, Apollo Knowhow, and NEXUS, ability to generate electronic reports, and proficiency in digital video, image editing, and eventing packages are desirable skills.
