Coxlease School is an independent specialist day school, located near Lyndhurst, Hampshire, a beautiful setting in the heart of the New Forest.
We are proud of our excellent reputation for providing highly effective education, care, therapy, welfare and support for up to 107 pupils aged 5-19 years old who have difficulties regulating their emotional, social and mental health needs. They may also have other complex needs often associated with autistic spectrum conditions. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding teacher to join the team. This will involve delivering a range of curriculum areas including, English, Maths, Personal, Social Development and Humanities.

This role will involve taking the lead role in overseeing a group from key stage 2/3 with 6-8 pupils. You will be actively encouraged to create a personalised environment and implement curriculum ideas that a re as beneficial socially as they are academically.
We actively encourage pupil centred personal development, so we need a candidate who wants to implement projects, trips and enrichments that gives our pupils as many different exciting experiences as possible.

Required:

A full driving license (due to location)
QTS or relevant teaching experience within the UK

Preferential:

To have experience working with pupils with SEN, in particular those with behaviours that challenge.
To have had experience of leading and delivering to small groups, evidencing excellent progress.

Communication Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
Organisation You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring each students learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil.
