We develop quality training courses and nationally recognised qualifications that are delivered through a national network of training Provider Partners. Working with a range of partners to promote opportunities within the sector to an increasingly diverse audience, our training and qualifications are delivered to more than 116,000 learners each year across the UK.

Role summary:

Managing the day-to-day operation of the website including regular updates and developments as well as working on larger projects. The role will also support the business’ digital communications, working with colleagues across the comms team

Characteristics:

Creative and innovative person with a passion for good website design and engaging digital communications. A willingness to work dynamically within a multi-disciplinary comms team

Job Goal:

Manage the day-to-day updates and continuous development of our website, optimising content performance, accessibility, and user journeys to deliver excellent digital experiences for the user. Create, develop, and implement content and traffic building activities that will deliver agreed online metrics, and which will contribute to the achievement of objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Support the development and curation of stakeholder communications.

Website: 70%

Website Content Management • use CMS to proactively manage and maintain the website, ensuring optimised copy and use of high-quality and on brand photography and videos • Monitor the Marketing inbox to manage and prioritise content update requests • Manage tickets with external hosting and developer team • Test and report on new features of the website as and when the hosting and developer team develop them Website monitoring and improvement • Quality assurance indicators - content quality, broken links and 404 error messages, misspellings and any accessibility or user experience/journey issues • Search Engine Optimisation - Creating content for marketing campaigns checking keyword rankings Website content and design • Write engaging copy for the website & any supporting digital communication activity, working closely with the Content and PR Co-ordinator and internal teams (news articles and case studies) • Ensure that the website content is visually engaging, with good text to image ratio 2 Website Integration and Development – work with regional teams to design and build pages to integrate existing content using CMS system (Umbraco) Form Management – Create and edit website forms to support various internal departments, events, and campaign activity Website Photography – help manage digital photo library with the Content and PR Co-ordinator to support website and digital communication requirements Google Analytics – Help measure and analyse website performance and stats for monthly team reports, interpreting data to suggest improvements

Digital Communications; 20%

Email marketing – Work with digital marketing colleagues to deliver engaging digital marketing communications across various audiences, including newsletters & eshots via DotMailer Email signatures – Work with digital marketing colleagues to share the task of uploading branded email signatures to Exclaimer to support event and activity campaigns Landing Page Creation – Develop dedicated landing pages to support campaign activity i.e. for the annual Learner of the Year Awards working with the Events and Marketing Co-ordinator Stakeholder Communications – work with colleagues across the business to curate and compile content for a variety of stakeholder communication

Style & Branding - 10%

Digital content – making sure the content used in all our digital activity is correctly following brand and style guidelines Logo and branded templates - Monitor the Marketing inbox to manage and prioritise requests for logos and branded templates
