We are looking for a super star General Manager to launch and lead this one of a kind 800 capacity venue, following an investment of over ½ a million pounds. Think indoor garden, largest HD screen in the city, showing all the sports, competitive socialising at it’s best, a ball pit with slide (yes you did read that right) retro cinema style seating, birdcage swings, bathtub booths, the list of craziness is endless and that’s before anyone has sampled the eclectic range of drinks, showcased amazing entertainment and sampled super tasty food.
The Grosvenor, you might have known it more recently as the Footage, has been an Oxford Rd institution since 1913, starting it’s life as a the Grosvenor picture palace, it was the largest cinema outside London back in the day, along with a pool hall in the basement. In 1990 it became the iconic Flea and Firkin and it’s bar journey began, now in 2024 it has been acquired by us and joins the Blind Tiger Inns portfolio of 21 unique pubs and bars located in cities and towns across the North West.
So what does your day look like?
Reporting into your Area Manager, as the General Manager of this beautiful venue, you’ll work with your management, kitchen, sales & front of house teams to ensure that you and your team are enjoying the experience just as much as your guests are. Being a great communicator and relationship builder is essential in this role as you’ll be the face of The Grosvenor and oversee all aspects of making it the place to go. If you’ve got experience of running venues in a busy hospitality environment, then this role is perfect for you
What will you get up to?
We definitely don’t like things to be boring, and one thing you can be assured of is you won’t spend a minute longer than necessary doing admin, in fact there’s no need for an office in the building we want all our teams out front together Of course there are just a few bits below that we need you to do apart from entertain your public.
- Leading your team
- Managing Stock Control
- Payroll & Budget Management.
- Drive Sales
- Develop and encourage team development
- P&L Reporting
- Overseeing recruitment & retention in your venue
