The assistant will be part of a growing finance team and will have the opportunity to work alongside other departments with their finance requirements. This is a critical role within a small finance team.
The ideal candidate must be able to work well under pressure, able to manage multiple tasks and be extremely organised. It is a very exciting opportunity for someone to enter / progress in an accountancy role within a fast growing company.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping of purchase invoices on a weekly basis
- Raising sales invoices and completing full credit control chasing payments
- Bank reconciliations of all accounts including petty cash on a weekly basis
- Reconciliation of credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Preparing fortnightly payment run for review
- Analysis of logistics invoices on a weekly basis
- Preparation of manufacturers invoices on a daily basis
- Liaising with internal PL teams as well as third party providers, clients, and suppliers where required
- Assisting with management reporting
- Assisting with compliance reporting
- Assistance with preparation of performance and cost analysis
- Be lead partner to the Buying and Logisitcs team process
- Assistance with day to day adhoc tasks
Qualification, skills and experience
- Currently studying towards AAT qualification or higher
- Retail experience desired
- Prior working experience in finance functions
- Ability to work in a team
- Self starter & ability to be reactive to work needs
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience using an accounts software. We currently use Xero
- Intermediate excel
