I am working with a SaaS client who need a skilled cloud infrastructure engineer to join their team.
You will play a key part in improving and automating processes, helping to minimise manual operations.
You will be managing configuration, configuration changes, and applying system updates.
You should have experience with hybrid environments including cloud infrastructure and on prem.
Responsibilities:
Build, deploy and maintain on-prem infrastructure, and cloud solutions in AWS. This is predominantly a cloud environment.
Evaluate technologies currently used and support continuous improvement across the business.
Implement technology strategy and vision and increase cloud adoption.
Automating processes and tools, with an active role to play in evolving tool design and use.
Problem solving.
Working towards high availability and ensuring minimal downtime.
Working on workload automation initiatives.
Essential:
5 years UK history – eligible for SC clearance.
Cross functional team experience.
Strong AWS skills – ideally AWS certified.
Experience working in cloud environments – AWS / Azure
Previous working history as a system admin or similar
Worked with deployment automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
Linux systems – hardware, software, networking and storage.
Architecting cloud infrastructure – AWS
Autoscaling
Performance tuning cloud environments, server builds, data migration, and cloud adoption.
Application knowledge (Object oriented languages)
DevOps knowledge, procedures, and processes.
Agile Environment.
