As Regional Manager, you will contribute to our vision of being the UK's favourite residential property manager by:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and guidance to colleagues to enhance standards of service for all disciplines and enhance skills and capability across a team.
  • Deliver a proactive and strategic focus, with overall operational accountability for a regional portfolio, delivering profitability, compliance, service excellence and value for money.
  • Complete tasks to ensure our portfolio of developments are well maintained and demonstrate full compliance with our own policies, procedures and internal performance measures, in addition to statutory and legislative obligations.

The Regional Manager reports to the Operations Manager and has a team of up to 10 direct reports and other indirect reports, depending on the operational division.

The job role

  • Lead and develop your team of property managers instilling and maintaining a high-performance culture
  • Identify and deliver on-going training needs to support the development of direct reports, utilising appropriate internal and external methods and support as well as conduct frequent reviews with development managers providing constructive feedback and coaching, ensuring KPI’s and SLA’s are met.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and discussions to set and review the portfolio priorities and strategies for future - seek solutions and improvements within processes, procedures and application.
  • Ensure Property Managers are running developments consistently in line with their roles and responsibilities.
  • Arrange and facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders within your portfolio, guiding and positively influencing decisions and disputes.
  • Promote a working environment that rewards performance, facilitates team working and effective communication, and encourages innovation for continuous service improvement purposes.
  • Ensure annual Performance and Development Reviews (PDR) are timely and successfully completed across the region; and contain objectives to motivate and inspire teams to develop and achieve business and commercial.
  • Constantly encourage, develop and review rising talent as part of your colleague retention strategy which spans across the regional team.
  • Lead on and actively participate in and encourage new business leads including sales meetings, presentations and bids.
  • Lead and support development manager action plans and actively monitor risk and implement corrective actions for “at risk” schemes ensuring preventative measures are in place for those that are vulnerable.
  • Monitoring and auditing KPI’s for the portfolio to adhere to KPI strategy and deliverables as well as full compliance and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site audits and spot checks of standards across the portfolio.
  • Support property managers and cross-functional teams to actively conclude complaints and actions, handling escalated complaints including Section 20, consultation, lease and invoicing with the support from the legal team.
  • Encourage and foster innovation and best practice, sharing and collaborating across FirstPort teams to share and embed best practice, new ideas, and to maximise commercial advantage.
  • Proactively manage contractors, consultants and other professional advisors to ensure they efficiently support the business to supervise major works projects to project completion.
