Ideal Night Porter traits:
● Positive and friendly attitude as well as a willingness to work collaboratively with the team.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a high-end and high-volume establishment is preferable BUT NOT imperative.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Services:
● Welcome and assist late-arriving guests with check-in procedures.
● Address any guest inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
● Provide information about hotel facilities and services.
2. Security and Safety:
● Conduct regular security checks throughout the hotel and pub premises.
● Ensure all entry points are secure and monitor CCTV as necessary.
● Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services if required.
3. Housekeeping and Maintenance:
● Perform light cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of public areas.
● Assist with setup and breakdown of events or breakfast service as needed.
● Report any maintenance issues to the General Manager.
4. Administration:
● Maintain accurate records of night activities and hand them over to the morning staff.
● Prepare and process any necessary paperwork related to guest stays.
5. General Duties:
● Assist with any other tasks as directed by the Duty Manager or General Manager.
● Ensure the pub are ready for the next days operations.
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
● Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency protocols.
● Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
● Physical stamina to perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks.
£11.44 - £14.00 per hour plus tips, full time
