Akasha Holistic & Wellbeing Spa is an award-winning sanctuary located within Hotel Café Royal, a luxurious 5-star hotel in Central London. The spa features state-of-the-art facilities, including 6 treatment rooms, a Hammam, steam room, sauna, an 18-meter swimming pool, and a specialist Watsu pool. We also offer a gym and studio space for Pilates and yoga. Our dedicated team provides a range of rejuvenating treatments, including relaxing and deep tissue massages, body scrubs, facials, and comprehensive wellness packages. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Spa Therapist to join our team and enhance the wellbeing experience for our guests.

The Role:

As a Spa Therapist, you will provide exceptional treatments and services to our guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. You will work with various techniques and products to deliver personalized treatments that meet our guests' individual needs.

Akasha is open daily from 7am till 9pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a range of body treatments, including relaxing massages, deep tissue massages, body scrubs, and facials, ensuring each treatment is tailored to the guest's preferences and needs.
  • Provide expert advice on treatment options and skincare products, guiding guests in selecting the best options for their wellness journey.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and spa protocols.
  • Conduct thorough consultations with guests prior to treatments, assessing their needs and discussing any concerns to create a personalized treatment plan.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques, participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the spa team to ensure smooth operations, including managing treatment schedules and maintaining inventory of products and supplies.
  • Promote and sell spa treatments, packages, and retail products to enhance guest satisfaction and support revenue growth.
  • Foster a positive and calming atmosphere for guests, ensuring a high standard of service that reflects the luxury and professionalism of Akasha Spa.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in massage therapy, beauty therapy, or holistic treatments.
  • Previous experience as a Spa Therapist in a luxury hotel or high-end spa environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and body treatments, as well as skincare products and facial treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for guest service and wellbeing.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as the spa is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
