Storage / Backup Recovery Engineer

We are currently searching for a Storage / BuR Engineer to join the DXC Technology team. The aim at DXC is to both inspire and work to create a culture of learning, diversity, and inclusion. Job Functions:

  • Upgrade and implement procedures to ensure steady storage, protection of data and adherence to compliance.
  • Provide support and training to various engineers where required.
  • Provide one-touch resolution for all types of incidents and levels of severity and escalate where necessary.
  • Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality.
  • Implement standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.
  • Automate and improve everything you can - look for root causes and fix them
  • Proactively look for risks and problems and subsequently fix them.
  • Assist in building compliance with processes and policies.
  • Diagnose and remove performance issues.
  • Can work to ITIL best practices


Your skills and experience:

MUST have prior EMC NetWorker experience.

Create a backup LLD, including backup schedules spec.

Has both a solid understanding and prior experience working with Pure Storage, SAN, NAS, DataProtector and Tape Libraries.

Experience in solution architecture would be advantageous.
