CNC Machinist

The successful candidate will be responsible for the machining of parts to customer drawings, ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed.
Duties :
Set up material as per tooling sheet and program instructions.
Ensure correct programs are selected.
Machine parts as per customer drawings and instructions.
Ensure all handover notes are completed for opposite shift with relevant information.
Ensure dimensions are checked, verified when required and recorded on dimensional reports and signed.
Update all tooling sheets with current information.
Participate in Root Cause Analysis when required.
Assist in training and development of Production Machinists and Apprentices.
Experience :
Time served with HNC/C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Horizontal Borer experience.
CNC control experience (Heidenhain, Fanuc, G&L 8000)
