Job Role

To produce components according to drawing specifications or specific instructions while consistently adhering to housekeeping and safety procedures.

Main duties

  • Set up and operate CNC machine tools.
  • Verify that all relevant drawings, procedures, and instructions are up to date before starting work.
  • Handle materials and tools safely.
  • Operate the machine safely and competently according to the manufacturer's instructions, maintaining safety and housekeeping standards as per QHSE policies and procedures.
  • Inspect the manufactured component after completing the operation before release.
  • Keep the work area clean, wear appropriate safety equipment at all times.
  • Assist in the training of apprentices.
  • Report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise.
  • Maintain material certification and traceability for all materials used.
  • Mentor developing machinists within the manufacturing team.
