I’m excited to be working with an innovative architecture practice that operates out of London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Toronto. My client is a progressive, award-winning studio and one of the UK’s top design-led architectural firms. With over 30 years of experience, they’ve grown into an employee-owned trust that thrives on collaboration, tackling projects across seven key sectors: civic, community & culture, education, healthcare, interior design, workplace, transport & infrastructure, and residential.

What truly sets them apart is their vibrant studio culture. They believe a creative and dynamic workplace fuels passion and originality. Their people are at the heart of everything they do, and they know their success is built on the hard work and commitment of the entire team. In return, they offer some seriously enticing perks – think private medical insurance, gym memberships, duvet days, and an array of fun social events, including craft and sports clubs

If you’re looking for a collaborative working environment with lots of opportunities for personal and professional development, look no further, as this is a place where your talent will be valued, and you’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive environment that’s all about growth and innovation.

If you're a qualified Architect (RIAI/RIBA/RIAS or equivalent) with 3+ years of experience, this could be the perfect role for you

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead a talented design team, managing the delivery of design information that aligns with project goals, timelines, and budget.
  • Dive into detailed design work, from drafting to CAD, ensuring everything meets their high standards.

Project Management:

  • Prepare and maintain project drawings, ensuring they meet QA and safety standards.
  • Integrate technical information and statutory requirements into designs and production drawings.
  • Prepare all the necessary documentation for planning, tender, and construction.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, attending key meetings to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Keep the Project Associate updated on progress, flagging any potential issues and offering solutions.
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring everything is in line with the agreed fee and schedule, while addressing any gaps.
  • Chair project meetings, making sure everyone is clear on their roles, responsibilities, and the project’s scope.

Team Leadership:

  • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting clear communication and shared goals.
  • Mentor and support your team, helping them meet their training and development needs.
  • Ensure all team members understand their roles and how they fit into the bigger picture.

Skills and Personal Qualities You’ll Bring:

  • A team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Able to stay cool under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Professional, diplomatic, and great at resolving conflicts.
  • A natural leader with the confidence to chair meetings and drive effective discussions.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • A champion of diversity and inclusion, bringing integrity to everything you do.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD/BIM and an understanding of how these tools impact project management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying design ideas.
  • The technical know-how to specify and select materials and products.
  • Ability to produce clear, well-thought-out architectural designs.
  • A solid understanding of building technologies, regulations, and planning applications.
  • Familiarity with technical standards, regulatory frameworks, and health and safety requirements.
  • On-site experience is a bonus

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Architect who’s ready to take the next step in their career. If you’re passionate about great design, thrive on leading projects, and enjoy working in a supportive, energetic team, I’d love to hear from you
