Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted support to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver individualised learning strategies, ensuring all students receive the support they need.
  • Assist students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Build rapport with students to encourage their confidence, social skills, and personal growth.
  • Support the teacher in managing the classroom, adapting learning activities to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Work in collaboration with the SENCO and pastoral team to ensure a consistent, supportive approach.
Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a school setting.
  • A good understanding of SEN, particularly in a Secondary school environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting student development.
Location:
  • Based in Hammersmith & Fulham, a lively and diverse area with excellent transport links.
