About the role:

Due to internal progression, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager (End-Point Assessment) to join our Awarding Body team. This role is crucial in helping to drive our mission to increase the number and standard of professionally qualified managers.


Due to the national nature of this role, the successful candidate should hold a full driving license or have access to reliable public transport.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all End Point Assessment activities are compliant with CMI’s Quality Assurance requirements
  • Ensure that End Point Assessment and internal quality assurance is meeting the Regulator’s requirements
  • Communicate and work alongside the IQA Manager and Internal Quality Assurers to ensure standardisation against Published Assessment Plans standardise
  • Work alongside End Point Assessment Training and Development Managers to ensure appropriate initial training and on-going CPD of Apprenticeship Independent Assessors
  • Sample quality assurance standards regionally and nationally
  • Lead a team of Internal Quality Assurers through the IQA Manager and Contractor Independent Apprenticeship Assessors
  • Supporting the Senior Quality Manager and Quality Managers as required to include conducting investigations and other activities as we step up to a tightening regime and ever more mandatory requirements.

  • Familiarity with Apprenticeships and End Point Assessment
  • Clear communicator - written and spoken English
  • In-depth understanding of the role of an Awarding Body
  • Educated to level 7 with a postgraduate degree or credible professional qualifications
  • Quality Assurance qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in quality monitoring and control
  • Experience of qualifications audit and/or a compliance role
  • Experience of working within an education, training, development and/or assessment environment, preferably HE/FE
  • Experience of creating and maintaining high-quality customer relationships - internal and external
  • Ability to develop and manage audits in line with compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about education and maintaining the standard of qualifications delivered globally

Desirable

  • Knowledge of CMI or experience of another awarding organisation or professional body operating globally
  • An understanding of the role of Regulatory Authorities in qualifications and assessment quality and monitoring
